Each Client and Site often has very different requirements. Whether the site is a Logistics Hub for Heavy Goods Vehicles, or a City Centre Multi-Tenanted Office Building – each will require very skills and approached to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those on site, and quite possibly, members of the public.
Our Shopping Centre portfolio, which has expanded enormously in recent years, has a number of additional training modules – including emergency evacuation training procedures as well as AED and Emergency First Aid. Their day to day engagement with the public means that we are often ‘ambassadors’ for the Client, on the ground. It is therefore crucial that our efforts are representative of the Client and their requirements.
All external training providers are accredited in their respective fields of expertise and we ensure that any equipment provided is fit for purpose and properly maintained. For example, our medical oxygen units are sourced from BOC directly and these are maintained under contract.
We have also found that in the current climate, NaCTSO Counter Terrorism training to be useful, certainly for the numerous shopping centres and retail parks that we look after. This program provides an excellent overview and knowledgebase of the risks involved in areas where there are members of the public in high-traffic areas.
